Ambode Offers Support For Abandoned Mother Of Twins

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has today directed deputy Governor, Dr. Mrs. Oluranti Adebule to effect the immediate rehabilitation and provision of welfare assistance for a mother of three set of twins whose husband absconded them.

This directive comes after the woman explained her situation to reporters during her distress visit to the Government Secretariat, Alausa on Thursday.

Ambode was touched by the story and then declared that as a responsible government, the well-being of the people of the State irrespective of their ethnic, religious or political affiliation is paramount to his administration and assured that his government will continue to provide good leadership that will guarantee adequate protection of lives and properties of all Lagosians.

She had explained that her husband, Mr. Benjamin Uche was said to have abandoned her due to the birthing of another set of twins from his wife, making it the third in a row.

Mrs Uche earlier explained that she and her children have been surviving on the little earnings she makes from the day care centre where she works.
She thanked for the governor and all who have taken interest in her plight.
